The managed hosting market has a problem. Actually, it has several.

The Status Quo Is Broken

If you want to host a modern web application today, your options fall into three buckets:

1. Managed platforms (Vercel, Heroku, Netlify) — great DX, until you hit the pricing cliff or need backend infrastructure they don’t support.

2. Managed hosting panels (RunCloud, Cloudways, Ploi) — better, but you’re paying $8-45/month just for the panel, on top of your VPS. And most are PHP-only.

3. DIY with Docker/NGINX — full control, but you’re now a part-time sysadmin. SSL renewal at 2 AM, anyone?

None of these are great. So we asked: what if there was a fourth option?
